What path are you on, right now, in this very moment?

I don’t know about you, but I’ve found myself on many different paths throughout my life. Some I expected to be on. Some that felt easy to walk. And others that I could not have imagined would be so rough or filled with the heart ache I felt.

Those easy paths I walked were filled with great memories, led me to connections, friendships and opportunities I’m grateful to have had. In many ways I’m sure I grew along those paths, learned a lot and felt at ease as I moved forward.

But those more challenging paths are the ones that stick out the most. Paths that were unexpected, filled with loss, grief, sadness, and pain. A path I once got lost on for far too long still brings up anxiety, fear, confusion, and anger, even years later. These bumpier paths however, taught me a great deal about strength, resilience, patience, and most importantly myself. I needed those paths in my journey to grow.

It’s interesting to think about all these paths I’ve walked, what they meant, how I grew and to which path I am on now, in this very moment. And in this very moment, the path I’m walking is just the path I need to be on, like all the other paths before it.

So what about your path? I know the world is flipped upside down right now and so yours might feel a bit more challenging, or that it has more ups and downs than usual, or maybe your path is smooth and calm. But whatever path you’re travelling, I encourage you to recognize it will change, it will teach you something you need to know and it will find it’s way to your next path.

Stay in the moment. Don’t judge where you’re at. Be patient and kind with yourself. Keeping moving.
