Back in May I shared a bathing meditation on Instagram that I learned when I travelled with Stacey to Costa Rica to do our first hypnotherapy training.

I thought it might be a good idea to re-share that meditation for those that might need some help to relax and feel at peace -even if it’s just for a few moments while you take a bath or shower! 🛁
- Before stepping into the tub or shower, take a deep breath and smile.
- Turn on and adjust the water temperature. Take a moment to pay attention to the hot or cool feeling of the water on your skin.
- Take a deep breath, exhale and smile.
- Experience the fresh, clear water washing away old energies, opening the cells of your body and your mind to health and joy.
- Lather your body with soap and take a moment to notice what that feels like and what the soap smells like. Allow this to help clean, relax and energize your body, mind and spirit.
- When finished, take a deep breath and smile.

Additionally to this meditation, while taking a bath or shower, it can be a perfect time to connect with your five senses. 🧘🏽♀️
🖐🏽What can you feel? Temperature of the water, soap lathered on your skin, your body heavy in the tub or your feet planted holding you up in the shower?
🦻🏼What can you hear? The water coming from the shower or the water sloshing as you move in the tub.
👃🏽What can you smell? Soaps, shampoos, oils, gels.
👀What can you see? The tiles, colours, bottles, etc.
👅What can you taste? This could be focusing on your breathing or maybe you taste the water as it runs down your face.
